I Dropped The Ball!

I haven’t watch a single episode of Grey’s Anatomy in a long time. I tried watching it this week and there was an old guy with grey hair talking to Cristina about something that was making her upset… and that’s when I came to the brutal and saddening realization: I didn’t care to find out what she was so upset about or who that weirdly old-looking guy was.

The last time such a terrible thing happened to me was when Michael Vaughn was killed off “Alias”… I never tuned back in.

I am not sure what the breaking point was. Maybe it was when Meredith started talking to ghosts. Or when George and Izzie had sex. Somewhere, around that time, my attention got distracted away from what used to be my favorite show.

Now… what do I watch? “CSI”!!!

Maybe it just means that I watch TV later every night… either way: BYE BYE GREYs!

Grey’s Anatomy: Spinoff Scoop!

The LA Times got some scoop on the spinoff episode:

“Following her recent disastrous romantic misfortunes, Addison (Kate Walsh) travels to Santa Monica to seek advice from her old medical school pals, Naomi (Merrin Dungey) and Jackson (Taye Diggs) whom she believes have it all: a beautiful teenage daughter, a great marriage and a highly successful health cooperative. Addison quickly learns that Jackson, also a successful TV health guru, has divorced Naomi. During the visit, Addison also meets the rest of the gang at the cooperative: a widowed alternative medicine doctor, a self-doubting therapist, and a male gynecologist who knows little about women, and realizes she is on familiar ground. Addison concludes that the personal lives of the people around her may be a mess, but professionally they stand out. So she decides to leave Seattle Grace behind and join the Oceanside Wellness Group team.”

I am not sure I would watch it… but maybe…

CSI – One Liners!

I was just talking with my roommate about how cheesy Caruso’s lines are on CSI Miami and Sunny sent this to me today… so appropriate – you will laugh (if you watch CSI)!

Tracy Morgan — DRUNK on Live TV…

Actor Tracy Morgan from 30Rock : drunk on live TV. It’s funny how the TV station tries to cover him taking his shirt off by putting some random info up on the screen. Hahaha. You gotta love crazy people!

Grey Madness

As usual on Thursday, here’s my Grey’s Anatomy review… NONE. No review for you. It was a rerun. Argh. Frustrating!

Grey’s Anatomy News : Good Bye Addison!

From today’s WSJ: “ABC is surgically removing part of “Grey’s Anatomy” to see if it can survive on its own. In a bold move that could bring in millions of dollars in new advertising income if it’s successful, ABC has decided to pursue a spinoff of the hugely successful medical drama. Departing “Grey’s Anatomy” to anchor the new show would be one of its most popular characters: Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepherd, a sexy neonatal-surgeon played by Kate Walsh. The general plot is still a work in progress and “Grey’s Anatomy” creator Shonda Rhimes hasn’t settled on a title.”

Thoughts? Anyone? I’m kinda numb…

Britney Shaved Her Head!

It’s crazy, I agree (although I secretly want to shave my head one day) but I think is crazier is that it’s actual news. Check this out (it’s abcnews, not E!)

I know I talk about celebrities on my blog, and I judge, and we laugh, etc… but at what point is it ok to call those things “news”?? There are people dying in the world, there are news worthy events happening every 5 seconds and TV stations can’t find anything better to talk about than Britney’s hair or lack thereof?? I like hearing about celebrity gossip… but from the celebrity gossip dedicated press. It’s E!, People and US Weekly’s job to tell us about this kind of worhtless events. And if I choose to read those magazines it’s my call… putting those events on a supposedly serious news station is absurd. It’s imposing trash on people seeking to get informed on actual events.

Sorry for the preaching but it’s disturbing to me. Absolutely disturbing. And I’m not dissing journalists, a lot of them just write or talk about what they’ve been asked to write or talk about… but news stations should realize that they’re not in the business of making money. They’re in the business of giving impartial, unbiased news to the people. Ooops, that just killed 99% of the news station.

Letting out my frustration today.

“The biases the media has are much bigger than conservative or liberal. They’re about getting ratings, about making money, about doing stories that are easy to cover.” — Al Franken
